Should Cell Phones be taken to schools ?

There is a new rule in our school and according to it pupils are not allowed to bring cell phones to school. Some students claim that this rule is not fair and they are against it, while others understand the principal's arguments to determine(ww.) this rule.

In my opinion, cell phones shouldn't be taken to school by the pupils. I think children exploit it in a bad way. First, many students play games on their phone during lessons. They don't listen to the teachers at all because they are busy with the new games in their cell phones. It attracts them and they can't help themselves. This is one example that shows how the cell phones can damage their studies.

Second, the students use the phones to take pictures of the pupils in class. Then, they post the pictures in their "Facebook" or any other sites, while their friends don't agree to this. When they do this, they break the law. In addition, the cell phones ring in the course of the lesson and it disturbs the teachers and the whole class.

To sum up, all of us know that cell phones are helpful when we really need them in times of emergencies. However, it damages(ww.) us when we use them in school. So, if you think about it, I am sure you will understand the new rule is good for us.

Very good.

Special Activities in School

Many schools in Israel organize special activities for their students such as, going to plays, the theater, visiting museums and galleries, watching movies and more. Do teenagers benefit from these activities? Some claim that these activities are not necessary at all, while others think it broadens the student's horizons.

In my opinion, it is very important, for two reasons. First, these social activities give the students a feeling of belonging to a group. When everybody takes part of(ww. - in) this, the pupils get to know each other better. It creates a good atmosphere around(ww. - in) the classroom.

Secondiy, activities like visiting a museum or listening to a lecture are very interesting. It gives the pupils new information, which enriches their education. It doesn’t seem to be (like the) usual, boring lessons in class, it is more tangible and it is fun to learn this way.

To conclude, special activities are good for the pupils. They learn a lot of new things and it helps them know a little bit more about their friends in different situations. In addition, it is something the students need in order to relax from all  the pressure.

Good work!
